Technical Sales Engineer.

Our Client, a leading provider of power back up (UPS) and (PBS), power protection and solar systems seeks to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer. The ideal candidate must have handled a similar position as a Technical Sales Expert with proven ability to move backups e.g. batteries, solar panels, solar lanterns, solar water heaters and generators in the market.
 Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with contractors and project managers to generate sales leads and developing long-term relationships with potential and existing clients for increased market share.
  • Prepare sales quotations and tender documents in line with the company pricing policy and the environment of the project.
  • Making technical presentations of company products resulting in increased sales.
  • Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations to enable sales planning strategy
  • Establish friendly and professional relationships with clients, ensure always a prompt and reliable service
  • Preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and projecting the number of contacts to be made.
  • As a sales engineer, add value by helping clients solve technical problems associated with maximizing product usage
  • Motivating and closely managing the sales team to achieve targets
  • Setting clear achievable targets, objectives and developing practical plans to achieve those targets.
Skills & Qualification 
  • Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
  • The ideal candidate must have experience in selling the client’s Products
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle a sale from start to finish without involving the technical team.
  • Ability to understand the clients' business objectives and technical needs

Technical Manager

The ideal candidate should have strong supervisory skills, a mature personality and be able to manage people.
Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Co-ordination and preparation of daily work schedule on the client sites to be visited and ensuring that the technicians arrive promptly on site.
  • Do a daily roll call of the technicians.
  • Programming of units to be installed and handling all technical requirements.
  • Maintenance of records related to the Technical room e.g. job cards.
  • Training of technicians especially new recruits.
  • Advising technicians on technical skills.
  • Assessment and evaluation, studying of the market to establish need for advanced technology and training needed for the Technical team.
  • Link between the various departments within the Company in regard to client issues.
  • Advising clients on technical and related issues.
  • Random visiting of sites to supervise as technicians carry out their work. Qualification and Experience.
Required Qualifications
  • At least a Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other related field.
  • Should have minimum of 4 years of similar experience.
  • Computer science or natural science will be an added advantage.
  • Good presentations and communication skills.
  • Experience in installation of tracking devices on vehicles is A MUST.

Head of Emergency & Monitor/Fleet Manager

Our Client, a leading provider in Security Tracking devices with its corporate headquarters in Nairobi is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of a Head of Emergency & Monitor /Fleet Manger. The ideal candidate should have strong supervisory skills, a mature personality and be able to manage people.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Head of Emergency:
  • Tracking vehicles and close monitoring while vehicles are across the Kenyan Border and making sure that they track consistently while in Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania and Sudan and informing the relevant people.
  • Ensure that all installation details given by technicians have been entered on the Control application/Web and make sure that all units are transmitting successfully by restarting severally and testing gradual and panic.
  • Monitor and report vehicle abuse, over speeding and inform the relevant people or departments during day and night shifts. 
  • Handle theft cases by facilitating in recovery of stolen/hijacked vehicles through liaising with Police officers, Customers and the team.
  • Ensure that shift exchange/handover from one Controller to another is done effectively for both day and Night shifts.
  • Ensure that Internet connection is perfect and contact the service Provider when the Link is down.
  • Ensure that some units are immobilized/De-mobilized as per Bank or Customer requests and all guidelines and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure that Star com systems receive a monthly report on unit status. 
  • Ensure all staff and clients are trained on how to use the system.
  • Ensure all lagging units are set to communicate on time.
  • Participate in development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures.
  • Ensure Fleet customers are provided with daily/weekly/monthly analyzed customized reports.
  • Ensure all clients requesting for Geo fence have been allocated.

Required Qualifications

  • At least a Degree in Procurement and Logistics, Business Administration or any other related field.
  • Should have minimum of 6 years of similar experience in a Fleet management Company and has been in charge of operations
  • Computer skills will be highly applicable
  • Good presentations and communication skills.
  • Experience in installation of tracking devices on vehicles is A MUST.

Farm Manager

Our client, an upcoming Flower farm located in Thika is looking for an experienced reliable Farm Manager to supervise the growing of summer flowers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate flower farming operations 
  • Overseeing and coordinating production process from planting to harvesting including pest control, weed management, field cultivation, compost and seed production, and harvest.
  • Effective operation and maintenance of the spray and fertilization systems in the farm. 
  • Supervise other employees working on the farm
Qualifications and Experience
  •  The ideal candidate will have a Degree/Diploma in agriculture
  •  Have basic irrigation experience including irrigation   equipment like the water pumps

Water Treatment Operator (3 Positions)

Our client based in Kenya seeks to recruit three Water Treatment Operators to monitor and offer technical skills on the functioning of Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant facilities in the firm.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Monitor the proper functionality of Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant facilities.
  • Conduct water quality checks such as measuring PH , conductivity , Hardness, turbidity ,TDS
  • Perform the auto and manual backwashing of sand filters, chemical cleaning of membranes and changing line filters in R.O plant.
  • Write daily report of entire shift and coordinate with immediate superior regarding status of plant operation and water quality test results

Professional Skills and experience

  • At least two years experience in operating Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment and Effluent Water Treatment facilities.
  • Knowledge on water quality testing apparatus such as measuring pH , conductivity, hardness, turbidity , TDS, 
  • Diploma in Engineering Technology

Auxiliary Technician (2 positions)

Our client based in Kenya seeks to recruit two Auxiliary Technicians to offer technical support to the subordinates in the firm be in charge of the machines in the auxiliary section.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • In charge of operation and maintenance of boilers, air compressors, and generators in auxiliary section.
  • Conduct regular checks on water quality used by boilers, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers and steam supply and return lines, air compressors, and generators.
  • Update spare parts and arrange ordering procedures with section head, provide technical support to subordinates in doing maintenance activities in the entire section.
  • Coordinate with section head regarding the status of auxiliary machinery and equipments and
  • Improvement to be implemented in the section.
  • Submit daily report to immediate superior.
Professional Skills and experience
  • At least 3 years experience in boiler, air compressors, and generator maintenance jobs
  • Able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical related problems in machinery and equipments covered by auxiliary section.
  • Knowledge in boiler water treatment is an advantage
  • Diploma in Engineering Technology
  • Proficient in English communication
