Sales & Marketing Manager


Location: Nairobi

Our client a leading Sacco in Kenya seeks to recruit a Sales & Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will be required to lead and work with team members to achieve the organization’s set targets

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Acquire new business and deepen existing client relationships for the company's target market
  • Conducts periodic client satisfaction surveys to address clients' complaints and come up with innovative ways of serving them better
  • Develops a consolidated media strategy and identifies appropriate advertising agency and media to implement the strategy
  • Develops and implements branch expansions and market penetration including new product(s) and wider market coverage
  • Establishes and ensures an effective reliable Market Information database on markets, clients and competitors
  • Managing available resources efficiently to meet the goals within the set time frame.
  • Coaching and motivating the team to deliver best results and also prepare regular reports on the performance of the team and identify plans of action.
  • Measuring of baseline performance and allocating bonus to team members
  • Knowing the customer’s business and /or seeking information about the real underlying needs of the customer, beyond those expressed initially.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Sales and Marketing or Business related field, Masters Degree will be an added advantage
  • Must be a registered MSK Member
  • Minimum of 5 years experience preferably from related field
  • Computer Proficiency: MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook)
  • Should have proven integrity and leadership skills
  • Strong negotiations and persuasion skills
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills

Technician


Industry:  IT

Our Client, a leading provider of power back up (UPS) and (PBS), power protection and solar systems seeks to recruit a Technician. The ideal candidate must have handled a similar position as a technician and know how to install backups e.g. batteries, solar panels, solar lanterns, solar water heaters and generators.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Disassembling appliances so that problems can be diagnosed and repairs can be made
  • Servicing and repairing domestic electrical and backup systems like solar energy products, power controllers, batteries and inverters.
  • Replacing worn and defective parts such as voltage regulation and equipment protection solution.
  • Reassembling units after repairs are made, making adjustments, cleaning and lubricating parts as needed
  • Recording maintenance and repair work performed on appliances
  • Maintaining stocks of parts used in on-site installation, maintenance, repair of appliances and providing relevant cost estimates
  • Observing and examining appliances during operation to detect specific malfunctions such as loose parts or leaking fluid
  • Observing and testing operation of appliances following installation and making any initial installation adjustments that are necessary
  • Instructing customers regarding operation and care of appliances and providing necessary information such as emergency service numbers
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
  • The ideal candidate must have experience in handling backups systems
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Experience and CISCO certification will be an advantage.
  • Ability to understand the clients' business objectives and technical needs

Technical Sales Engineer

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Engaging with contractors and project managers to generate sales leads and developing long-term relationships with potential and existing clients for increased market share.
  • Prepare sales quotations and tender documents in line with the company pricing policy and the environment of the project.
  • Making technical presentations of company products resulting in increased sales.
  • Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations to enable sales planning strategy
  • Establish friendly and professional relationships with clients, ensure always a prompt and reliable service
  • Preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and projecting the number of contacts to be made.
  • As a sales engineer, add value by helping clients solve technical problems associated with maximizing product usage
  • Motivating and closely managing the sales team to achieve targets
  • Setting clear achievable targets, objectives and developing practical plans to achieve those targets.
Skills & Qualifications:

Agronomist

Our Client, a leading provider of quality horticultural produce seeks to recruit an Agronomist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and testing appropriate planting techniques for different farm produce.

 Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  •  Product developing and registration of agrochemicals, crop protection, chemicals and fertilizers.
  •  Establishing products sources and maintaining relationships with existing and other potential suppliers for agrochemicals and fertilizers.
  •   Ensuring regulatory compliance by completing the appropriate filings and documentation pertaining to product registration.
  • Compiling of Registration data for submission to the registration authorities.
  •  Establishing and maintaining close relationships with appropriate regulatory agencies for the purpose of effective negotiations of registration requirements.
  •   Maintaining quality standards for all our agrochemicals and fertilizers.
  • Supplying products for testing and compliance requirements for new or label extension products to the researchers doing field trials.
  •  Maintaining a database to track all registration activity by creating and managing electronic and manual files, registration certificates and documentations.
  • Liaising with researchers appointed for specific field trials..
  • Maintaining quality standards for all our agrochemicals and fertilizers.
  • Offering training and demonstrations to sales staff and potential clients by showing them the benefits and usage of company products.

Skills and Qualification Required
  •   A young man aged below 30 year
  •  Should have Degree/Diploma in Agriculture/Agronomy/crop protection and a passion for agriculture and farming, with an in-depth understanding of products like French beans, sugar snaps, passion fruits, peas among others. 
  •   1-2 years of experience in agrochemicals or crop protection field preferably in a technical role.
  •  Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented individual, with excellent computer and organizational skills.
  •  Ability to develop strategies and action plans for new opportunities, products and markets.
  • Ambitious and passionate candidates with strong customer orientation.
  •   Must  have a clean driving license

They deal with office products and equipments like office furniture, storage cabinets, and cabinets among others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining existing clients; while updating their portfolio. 
  •   Generating  new leads and convert them into customers 
  •  Determining a client’s business requirements and whether the products being considered are suitable.  Identifying and developing new business through networking, courtesy and follow up calls 
  •  Monitoring and reporting competitors and market condition
  • Generating and qualify leads. 
  •   Identifying and define marketing opportunities and problems and make sales in the identified markets.  Updating individual Sales Database on daily basis.

Knowledge and Abilities
